About Jiufen and Jinguashi Gold Museum

Jiufen/Jinguashi Gold Museum is located in Jinguashi, New Taipei City (Taipei County), Jiufen’s Gold Ecological Park, and is the first eco-museum in Taiwan, opened in 2004. The museum aims to preserve Jinguashi’s precious natural resources, mining sites, landscape, historical memory, and cultural assets by mobilizing the power of the community. 2002, Jinguashi was registered as a World Heritage Site.

How to get there

1.Train
By train: Take the Taipei Eastern Main Line toward Yilan or Hualien, transfer at Ruifang to Keelung Bus No. 1062 or 788 bound for Jinguashi, or transfer to Taipei Bus No. 965 bound for Jinguashi and take the Land Transport Bureau next to the police station to get to Jinguashi.

2. bus
(1) Taipei – Jinguashi: Take bus 1062 via Jiufen from Exit 2 of MRT Zhongxiao Fuxing Station and get off at Jinguashi.

(2) Keelung – Jinguashi: Take bus No. 788 from Keelung Station, via Ruifang and Jiufen, and get off at Jinguashi Station.

(3) Banqiao – Jinguashi: Take bus 965 from NTPC Banqiao Station (MRT Banqiao Station) and get off at Jinguashi via Jiufen.

3. Expressway

(1)Take Zhongshan Expressway toward Keelung, exit at Dahua System Interchange→exit at Ruifang on Wanrui Expressway→Provincial Highway No. 2→Right Ming Orifang Road No. 102→toward Jiufen→pass Jiufen and turn toward Jinguashi→get off at the New Taipei City Government Golden Museum

(2)Zhongshan Expressway toward Keelung, Wanrui Expressway Dahua System Interchange toward Rueibin→Provincial Highway No. 2→Provincial Highway No. 2 at 78.5 km (Shueinandong) →turn right on County Road No. 34→get off at New Taipei City Government Gold Museum.

(3)Hualien-Yilan area→Provincial Highway 2→Shueinandong parking lot→Turn left on County Road 34→New Taipei City Government Gold Museum.
