About Hsinchu City Museum of Glass Art
The Glass Museum is located on East Main Road and covers an area of approximately 18 hectares. Hsinchu City is the origin of Taiwan’s glass industry, and the first glass museum in Taiwan was established in 1999. The museum is divided into an exhibition area, a glass studio, a library and audio-visual room, an Internet workstation, an exhibition and sales area, and a catering department.
The Glass Museum building is a converted Japanese-era building that houses exhibits, information, and collections related to glass. In the exhibition area, treasures and models related to the development of glass and its manufacturing methods are displayed, and glass works are regularly exhibited. In addition, glass works are displayed in the glass studio.
How to get there
Public transportation: Take city bus No. 1, No. 2, or No. 31 and get off at the “Koen” stop. Other transportation: Take city bus No. 1, No. 2, or No. 31 and get off at the Koen-mae stop.

Tue-Sun: 9:00-17:00, closed every Monday and during the Folklore Festival.
