About The National Museum of Ocean Science and Technology
The National Museum of Ocean Science and Technology (abbreviated as Haigekan or Haibo) is located in the Badouzi district, east of Keelung City, adjacent to the Badouzi and Bisha fishing ports to the west, and connected to the Northeast Coastal Scenic Area to the east, where Taiwan Highway 2 (coastal highway) and Taiwan Rail Luao Branch Line are located. It is the only museum, along with the Ocean Science Museum in Checheng, Pingtung, that focuses on the theme of the ocean and explains the interaction between the ocean and human life. It is another ocean-themed museum besides the Sea Han Museum in Checheng, Pingtung, explaining the interrelationship between the ocean and human life. It was established to promote sustainable ocean development, lifelong learning about the ocean, and support ocean education in schools. It is an important point for ocean education and tourism, promoting ocean protection and ecological knowledge, and further enhancing the human qualities and practical skills of ocean respect and environmental protection.
How to get there
1, Zhongshan Expressway → Keelung end → Zhongzheng Road → Zhengfeng Street → Xiangfeng Street → Beining Road → Ocean University → Bisha Fishing Port → (after turning left on Xinfeng Street) turn left on Fishing Port Street → turn right on Huanggang Street → turn left on Fishing Port Street → National Museum of Marine Science and Technology (regional parking lot).
2、Zhongshan Expressway→Dahua System Interchange→(to Ruibin) Taiwan 62 Expressway→turn left on Taiwan No. 2 Coastal Highway (to Keelung) →Shenao→Beining Road (lane 369, turn right after passing through) →National Museum of Marine Science and Technology (Marine Theater parking lot).
3、Zhongshan Expressway→Dahua System Interchange→(to Ruifang)Taiwan 62 Expressway→(turn right to Ruifang)Badouzi Ramp→Tiehe Street→Beining Road (turn left, then right) →National Museum of Marine Science and Technology (Marine Theater parking lot).
Public Transportation
1、Taiwan Railways：Taiwan Eastern Distributor→Ruifang Station→Shenao Branch Line (about 8 minutes)→Haikekan Station.
2、Take the 103 Badouzi or 111 Express Bus (weekday stop), and get off at Badouzi Station or Haiseikan Station.
3. Keelung Bus: Take the 1051 National New Town – Ruifang, 791 National New Town – Fulong, or R66 Qitou Station – Haiguan to Badozhi or Haiguan Station.
4. Guoguang Bus: “1811 Taipei Northwest A Station – Yilan, Luodong (via Binhai Highway)”, “1812 Nanfanggao – Taipei (via Zhuan Station)” to Badouzi.

Tips
Theme Museum
(1) General admission $200 NTD.
(2) Group ticket TWD 160, groups of 20 or more.
(3) Concessionary ticket TWD 140, children 6-12 years old and students with student ID.
(4)Pok Oi ticket TWD 100, seniors 65 years old and over (holidays).
(5)Free ticket: Seniors 65 years old and over (weekdays), a person with a physical or mental disability certificate and one accompanying person, and children under 6 years old.
Every Wednesday is free for residents of Keelung City and Ruifang District, New Taipei City.
Ocean Theatre
(1) General ticket $120 NTD.
(2) Groups of 20 or more people: NT$100.
(3) Children 6-12 years old and students with a student ID card: NT$90.
(4)Pok Oi ticket: NT$60 for seniors aged 65 and over (holidays).
(5)Free ticket: Seniors 65 years old and over (weekdays), persons with a physical or mental disability certificate and their accompanying persons, and children under 6 years old.
Free of charge for residents of Keelung City and Ruifang District, New Taipei City every Wednesday morning.
